If you are unfamiliar with a Presidents Meeting, a local non-profits presidents meeting typically refers to a gathering of the presidents or leaders of various non-profit organizations within a specific community or region. The purpose of these meetings can vary but often include:
Networking: Providing an opportunity for non-profit leaders to connect, share experiences, and build relationships.
Collaboration: Discussing potential partnerships, joint initiatives, and ways to support each other's missions and projects.
Information Sharing: Sharing updates on current projects, funding opportunities, and relevant news affecting the non-profit sector.
Problem-Solving: Addressing common challenges faced by non-profits in the area and brainstorming solutions.
Training and Development: Offering professional development opportunities, workshops, or training sessions to enhance leadership skills and organizational effectiveness.
Advocacy: Coordinating efforts to advocate for policies or issues that impact the non-profit sector or the community they serve.

Format of Meeting (approximately 1 - 1.5 hours)
Welcome and Introductions - Introduction by meeting facilitator, brief roll call
Purpose of the Meeting - Overview of the meeting
Updates from Community Leaders - Parks and Recreation, Communications, Schools, etc.
Updates from Each Organization - Each organization can share current initiatives, challenges, and upcoming events, limit to 2-3 minutes each)
Resource Sharing and Support - Share information on available resources (grants, volunteers, training opportunities, etc.)
Future Meeting Schedule - Set the next meeting date
Open Discussion and Q&A - Open floor for questions, additional topics, or announcements
Closing Remarks - Thank You for attending!

Eligibility and Participation Rules for Garden City's Presidents Meeting
Non-Profit Status - To join the Presidents Meeting, participants must represent a registered non-profit organization.
Focus on Garden City - Organizations must directly impact the quality of life in Garden City, Michigan, through their services, programs, or initiatives. This includes organizations that provide community services, educational programs, environmental initiatives, arts and culture, and other areas that improve the well-being of Garden City residents.
Service Area - While non-profits may serve larger regions, only those with a significant presence or activities within Garden City will be eligible to participate.
Leadership Representation - Participants in the meeting should be the President or another senior leader authorized to make decisions on behalf of their organization. Organizations are limited to only one member in attendance per organization.
Commitment to Collaboration - Organizations must be open to working collaboratively with other non-profits and sharing resources, ideas, and best practices for the betterment of the community.
Ethical Standards - All participating organizations must adhere to ethical standards and practices in their operations, including transparency, accountability, and a commitment to serving the public good.
Meeting Attendance - Regular attendance is encouraged to foster continuity and strong relationships among local non-profits. If unable to attend, organizations should send a representative who is well-informed about their organization’s operations.
Respectful Engagement - All participants must engage respectfully with others during the meeting, valuing diverse perspectives and maintaining a positive, collaborative atmosphere.
Right to Remove Participants - The Garden City Community Coalition Executive Board reserves the right to remove any participant or organization from the Presidents Meeting if they do not align with or adhere to any of the rules listed above.
